Jo Vadillo was raised in the inner west Sydney suburb of Strathfield. She spent the first ten years of her life sharing a bedroom with her young Mum at her Grandparents’ home.

Despite some financial struggles in her younger years, Jo’s parents made the sacrifice to see she was educated at a good school.

Being around people who had money and not having any herself triggered an early passion for seeking out entrepreneurial pursuits. At a young age, Jo understood that there was a better way to reach financial goals than earning an income via the standard dollar-for-time model.

When Jo met her husband and future business partner Greg, they realised they shared an interest in property. Property investing fast became a lucrative strategy for the couple, and one they kept expanding on. They became very hands-on, renovating and using equity to expand their portfolio.

This passion for property investing spilled into the business of helping others get in the property market. It was a natural step to become Buyers Agents, and in 2011 Advocate Property Services Pty Ltd was established.

By 2015, Jo and Greg added the company Property Women to their growing business. This popular community is now nearing 20,000 Australia wide.

Jo is a regular property commentator in the media and at conferences. She sits on the Board of My Property Circles, where the focus aligns with her passion for helping investors get into real estate.

When not obsessing about houses, Jo and Greg have three very active boys who ensure there is never a dull moment. Jo indulges in her passion for the outdoors and travel by taking her tribe overseas several times a year.
